Today we’ll be interviewing long -time JobInventory Contributor ZipRecruiter.

ZipRecruiter is a very significant and highly successful jobs website whose stated goal is to “make hiring faster, easier, and cheaper“. They achieve this goal by simplifying the process for both the job seeker and the employer. With ZipRecruiter, employers can find quality candidates by posting a job to 50+ leading job boards  (including, of course,  JobInventory) as well as most  social networks with a single click.  Given their broad reach, it is no wonder that ZipRecruiter can now boast that more than 250,000 companies have received more than 15 million candidates via the ZipRecruiter website.

To really understand the ZipRecruiter philosophy you can probably just best refer to their four guiding principals:

Could you just get things started by sharing with everyone the basic ZipRecruiter “elevator pitch”  -in other words give us a brief summary of what it is you guys do? 

Well, simply put, ZipRecruiter allows small businesses, individual employers, and recruiters to easily reach the right candidates and make the best hiring decisions with single click postings that lead to job networks.

Alright, so what specific services and resources does ZipRecruiter provide for those jobseekers then?

Job seekers can search hundreds of job boards simultaneously as well as distribute their resume to thousands of hiring managers through the resume database. Job seekers can also get email alerts with postings that are tailor made for their skill set and location.

Great, well can you tell us a little bit about the history of ZipRecruiter?  How has it evolved over time?

ZipRecruiter was founded in 2010 by four L.A. startup vets as a way to make the hiring process as quick and easy as possible. Boot-strapped and profitable from the beginning, ZipRecruiter recently completed a $63 million round of Series A funding.

Who is the main target audience for the services you provide?

The bulk of our job posting customers are small and medium business employers; we also provide jobseeker services.

What is it about your ZipRecruiter that makes it unique in the industry?

Simplifying complicated experiences is at the core of ZipRecruiter. We focus on creating a stress-free, easy-to-use and simplified process for both the job seeker and the employer.

What specific advice can you offer to the many jobseekers who visit JobInventory everyday ?

ZipRecruiter was started around a kitchen table by four friends, ( Ian Siegel – CEO, Joe Edmunds – Co-CTO, Ward Poulis -Chief Design Officer, & Will Redd – Co-CTO)  all of whom are still with the company.
